Let June Introduce You to the Tippyloos!
The Tippyloos are a special breed of being that have magical powers, a penchant for adventure and a love of all things fun! They're super friendly, a little mischevious and kinda furry, but usually they're invisible to people. Unless......well, from time to time (about every 10 years to be almost exact) they travel from Tippylooville to meet a real kid, in person...like June Winklemeyer for example (see blog). So in 2010, Roo, the Tippyloo introduced himself to June and in her blog, she posts letters to her best friend Madge (who had to move to another state) about her fun times with Roo, among other things. June's First Meeting with Roo, the Tippyloo
While on an outing with her dad, June started to have a funny feeling that something amazing was coming her way. She continued to eat her chocolate cherry ice cream but then felt compelled to look up.
“Dad, what in the world is that flying over our heads? I can barely even see the sky because of all the sparkles!” said June.
“Why June, I don’t know what you mean. The sun is shining , the sky is bright and all is well with us…..”June’s Dad said with a boasting smile.
“I’m sorry Dad, I couldn’t hear a word you said. There’s a Tippyloo fluttering at me right in front of your face. Could you please step back Dad, before he buzzes off?” But it was too late and off he buzzed.
And thus began a long friendship between June and the Tippyloos, a rare breed of flying creature that to most people is invisible or non-existent. June was special, so they found her and the rest is history. Read about their first real encounter on her blog...
